As the summer winds down, Skyland Farm riders made the most of their remaining time at HITS Culpeper, where they competed at the Constitution Classic, August 19-23 in Culpeper, Virginia.Forget Me Not and Wink And Smile earned the championship and reserve, respectively, in the Small Pony Hunter section. Emma Pell guided Forget Me Not to victory in the $1,000 Perfect Products Pony Hunter Classic to top off her weekend, while Virginia Bonnie and Wink And Smile placed third in the Classic and strutted to the under saddle victory as well.Winning runs in the family, too, as Virginia's father Shelby Bonnie tied for champion in the High Adult Jumper section on Forever Z after winning the $2,000 Marshall & Sterling/NAL Adult Jumper Classic in a field of 28 competitors. Go Shelby!Leslie Kopp continued her success this summer in the Adult Amateur hunters and jumpers, taking ribbons aboard The Impressionist, Bethany, Amicello and El Cano.Skyland Farm missed Elizabeth Wiley, who traveled to Africa for a safari and sent photos back of her adventures with other four-legged animals!
