The EMO/VHSA Equitation Finals is Fantastic

Natalie Wasson and Elios

The Skyland Farm team had an amazing time at the EMO/VHSA Equitation Finals and Lexington National. Natalie Wasson and Elios captured the 2022 EMO/VHSA Junior Hunt Seat Equitation Finals with beautiful rides. Natalie also earned the Walter J. Lee Horsemanship Trophy. She scored a 96% on the written test and 104 on the practicum for the highest cumulative score when combined with her first round riding score. It was a great achievement to win the riding and horsemanship finals together! Natalie and Kiltubrid Rhapsody also collected the fourth-placed ribbon in the EMO/VHSA Junior Equitation Flat Final.

Congratulations also to Meghan Finlay and her Chabaluba Sun on taking the Reserve Championship in the VHSA Adult Equitation Flat Final.

Brooke Ballhaus and Beverlys Bebop were also impressive in the equitation. They won the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal and placed second in the ASPCA Maclay.

Additionally, our hunters and jumpers all had super ribbons in their respective divisions for a great show. "All and all, it was a super show, and Natalie pulled off what we knew she could do!" said trainer Denice Perry. "I'm so proud of the entire team—and we celebrated Roberto’s birthday, too!"
