It's a Strong WEF Start for Skyland

Meghan Finlay and Tory Burch

The Skyland Farm team enjoyed a super debut on the 2022 Winter Equestrian Festival circuit in Wellington, Florida.

Michele Trufant and her Itchy Garrett earned red and blue in the Adult Training and 1.0m Jumpers. "What a fantastic start for the pair's first time at WEF!" said trainer Denice Perry.

After taking a break to have a foal, Tory Burch went right back to her winning ways with owner/rider Meghan Finlay. The pair won both classes the first day out and subsequently ended up reserve champions, missing the championship by a small margin in the Low Adult Hunters.

Natalie Wasson arrived in time to cheer her teammates on and will start competing this week with her horses, too.

"We are all enjoying the amazing farm of Andrew Bourns and miss the rest of the Skyland team that has not joined us yet. We're looking forward to a great winter show season," said Denice.
