Skyland Earns 2020 Year-End Championships

Even with the COVID-19 shutdown and pandemic this year, the Skyland Farm team continued to earn ribbons and, most importantly, learn and grow as riders. We are thrilled to recognize our year-end winners in the Virginia and Maryland Horse Shows Associations.

Special congratulations to Mosie Pennington on earning the VHSA and MHSA Small Pony Hunter Championships with Dreamscape! In addition, Mosie was VHSA Small Green Pony Hunter Champion with Yours Truly and second in the MHSA Pony Equitation standings!

Mosie and Dreamscape also placed fourth in the USHJA Zone 3 Small Pony Hunter standings, and Yours Truly was fourth in the Zone 3 Small Green Pony Hunter standings. Mosie also claimed the reserve championship in the World Championship Hunter Rider Mid Atlantic Regional standings in the Pony Hunter section.

Meghan Finlay and Sofia Car had a banner year for their championship title in the VHSA Children's Jumper standings! The pair also placed third in the USHJA Zone 3 standings to add to their resume. Meghan and Chabalouba Sun also finished fifth in the 3'3" Older Large Junior Hunters in the VHSA standings.
