Tricolors Abound at Loudoun Benefit

Mosie Pennington and Dreamscape

Skyland Farm enjoyed a second week at the beautiful Grafton/Salem show grounds in Upperville, Virginia for the annual Loudoun Benefit Horse Show. It's great fun showing in your back yard with good friends and sleeping in your own bed at night!

Mosie Pennington made some dreams come true with Dreamscape as she collected the Small Pony Hunter championship. She earned top-three ribbons in every class in the section, including an impressive victory in the handy class.

Mosie and Emma Pell combined forces with Judith Hahn's Twizzler to claim the Virginia Bred Pony Hunter championship. Twizzler won over fences and under saddle for the top honors over a competitive group of ponies.

Emma also rode her F-15 to excellent ribbons in the big equitation classes, taking top-six ribbons in the ASPCA Maclay, the WIHS and the VHSA Medal.

Leslie Kopp and El Cano

In the jumper ring, Leslie Kopp and the veteran El Cano continued to add more accolades to their record, winning the High Adult Amateur Jumper reserve championship. Leslie and Cesar VDB Z also earned ribbons in the section and jumped to an impressive second place in the $1,500 NAL/WIHS Adult Jumper Classic.

Emma also won the 1.30/1.40m Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper speed class aboard Santos and placed seventh in the $5,000 NAL Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic.

Danielle DeRisio and Cirena

Danielle DeRisio and Cirena had two Schooling Jumper blue ribbons and placed second and third in the Low Adult Amateur Jumpers for a great show together.
