Skyland Ponies Perform at WEF 1 & 2

EmmaPellRebelYellThe Skyland Farm team started out the 2018 Winter Equestrian Festival circuit strongly, with wins and top placings during weeks 1 and 2, January 10-21 in Wellington, Florida.Emma Pell has focused her energies these first few weeks in the Pony Hunter and Equitation rings, and her efforts were well rewarded. Emma earned the first blue ribbon for Skyland Farm's banner in the Medium/Large Green Pony section with Cedilo, and she also guided Twizzler to second- and fourth-placed ribbons in the USHJA classes.During Week 2, the accolades continued. Thora Pollak’s Rebel Yell, ridden by Emma, won the Medium Pony Hunter Handy class (out of 33) as well as other ribbons in one of the most highly contested divisions at show.TwizzlerWEF2Emma also earned Skyland's first tricolor of the winter circuit when she rode Judy Hahn’s Twizzler to the Small Green Pony Hunter championship with three blue ribbons over fences. It was their first time out in the green ponies, and Twizzler is now qualified for the US Pony Finals, too!Both Twizzler and Rebel Yell are proudly offered for sale and well on their way to future successes this winter and beyond.Emma continued her success aboard her own Cedilo in the Medium/Large Green Pony section, earning impressive ribbons including a second and two third over fences.Trainer Denice Perry piloted Leslie Kopp's Gone Country and Griffin to their first outings on the WEF circuit during Week 2. They contested the WEF Open Hunters, where they earned excellent ribbons while preparing for Leslie to return to the show ring in the amateurs.After a fantastic start, the Skyland Farm team looks forward to more fun in Florida!
