Capital Challenge Fun
Skyland Farm's ribbon collection sported a variety of beautiful colors after the Capital Challenge Horse Show, held September 27-October 5 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.After Skyland riders contested the United States Hunter Jumper Association's World Championship Hunter Rider classes during the year, it was time to take the Challenge!Elizabeth Wiley finished the year fifth in the WCHR Mid-Atlantic Regional Adult Amateur standings, which qualified her for the Adult Amateur Challenge. She chose to ride Crescendo, and the pair jumped to seventh place in a competitive field of the country's best Adult riders.Likewise, Amanda Tran placed fifth in her section of the WCHR standings, and she qualified for the WCHR Children's Challenge. She piloted Three Rivers to an excellent score of 82 in the Challenge class to claim sixth and a place in the victory gallop.Virginia Bonnie qualified for the WCHR Pony Challenge after finishing fourth in the Mid-Atlantic standings. She rode Wink And Smile to a solid performance on Saturday afternoon.
