They clinched the High Children's Jumper championships with two victories in the section, including top honors in the NAL/WIHS Children's Jumper Classic. The duo also earned top ribbons the previous week during the Lexington Spring Premiere, with a special highlight taking place when Alex received the Children's Jumper Style Award."Alex rode great at the Lexington horse shows, and I'm so happy for her successes," said trainer Denice Perry. "This is the second season Alex and Ainsley Treptow's El Cano have been partnered together, and they're a well-oiled machine now. They traveled to the Winter Equestrian Festival circuit in Florida this winter, and that added mileage and experience really paid off here, where they were really on their game. I also have to thank Michele Tippett for her support and her 'riding from the stands.' Her right rein really worked for Alex!"Skyland Farm horses and riders also collected a variety of other ribbons and awards, with Elizabeth Wiley earning blue ribbons aboard her mounts Crescendo and Say Again in the Adult Amateur Hunter, 36-49, section. Crescendo also concluded the show with the reserve championship. On the West Coast, Skyland Farm rider Virginia Bonnie and Wink And Smile picked up some awesome prizes during the Del Mar Horse Show. We look forward to having Virginia back on the East Coast for some summer showing.IMG_2197
