The Washington International Regional and Zone 3 Finals went super for Skyland Farm. The competition was held at Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia.

Skyland Farm’s Cirena, ridden by Mosie Pennington, had great results in the Children’s Jumpers, including second place in the Zone 3 Low Children’s Jumper Final!

Mosie also made her presence known in the hunter ring, riding Lapis to great ribbons in the Children’s Hunters on Saturday as well as some Zone Final placings on Sunday.

Michele Trufant and her Thoroughbred Itchy Garrett had four beautiful clean rounds in the Low Adult Jumpers and 1.0m classes. For their efforts, they earned excellent ribbons in all classes.

Brooke Ballhaus and Beverly’s Beebop had good ribbons in all the hunter classes while practicing for the “Big Eq” next week. She was also second in the VHSA Children’s Medal.

Joe Stroh and For Pete’s Sake also had some nice ribbons in the Low Adult Jumpers.

Additionally, Chloe Welsh, daughter of Skyland team member Lindsay Welsh, received some nice ribbons in the Short Stirrup sections aboard High Hopes Sable, with her wonderful trainer Carol Eichner.
