Skyland Farm’s New Arrival

Skyland Farm welcomed its newest arrival on April 17, with the birth of a bay colt by Copperman and out of Cirena.

The Holsteiner colt is the third in the Skyland Farm homebred line, that also includes full siblings C’Ironman (2012) and C’Superman (2014).

Skyland Farm stands the Holsteiner stallion Copperman (Contender–Chanell, Caretino), who has a wealth of top jumper bloodlines in his pedigree. Copperman competed successfully to the 1.45m level in Europe and the United States before beginning his breeding career in Virginia.

Cirena (Chamonix–Hella VII) has enjoyed a varied career as a show hunter, jumper (to the 1.25m level) and broodmare. Most recently, Cirena collected ribbons in the Performance Working Hunter section and in the Hunter Derby classes before having her third foal this year.

C’Ironman made his show ring debut on the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival circuit in Florida, where he earned ribbons in the Pre-Green Hunter, 3- and 4-Year-old section and gained show ring mileage in the .85m jumper classes.
